Usually life’s greatest gifts come wrapped in adversity

Must Read More

Here are the books I’ve ordered from the Desiring God online store during their $5 book sale:

I’m looking forward to reading these once I arrive at Southern (I had them delivered to a fellow student I know).  I think the first one I’ll start on would be the book that came out of T4G, Preaching the Cross and reading MacArthur’s take on 40 years of preaching ministry (I haven’t yet heard the messages from T4G’06).  I’m also axious to check out Future Grace to see how Piper describes this interesting concept; Let The Nations Be Glad since it is one of the great old classics about how missions relates to worship; and What Jesus Demands from the World as will be a classic reference text on Christ’s commands (especially since it won the 2007 ECPA Christian Book Award in the Christan Life Category!) ;-)

What do you think?  Read any of these?  Any one of the above that were particularly mind-blowing, Christ-exalting in your humble opinion?
