Disclaimer about Comments & Emails
I recently updated my About page with a link to a new Disclaimer page that has user expectations about comments and emails from you my blog readers. (HT to Said At Southern, as it borrows similar user expectations)
The most significant change is that from now on I expect all commentors to use their real name when commenting/emailing me (either in full or initial+name). Commenting by a nickname or anonymously (as seen in this recent post) creates a hostile environment where the commentor seems to be unopen to dialoging nor receiving correction or rebuke as they are hidden behind a smokescreen.
From now on, anyone commenting anonymously or with a pseudonym may have their comments removed without notice. Hopefully, this would make my site here more dialogue friendly

I don’t blame you at all. I don’t allow anonymous commenting on my blog and I also moderate the comments as well. (Not that a lot of people comment, but I feel that I am responsible in a way for what is on my site…even if it is written by someone else. I don’t do this because I want to silence any differing opinions, but I want to make sure that only edifying comments are posted.)
On a side note, I have gotten the textbook for the Into the NT class with Dr. Vickers. It is great. God bless.

Hello, (I use only my first name due to some wackos abusing comments/email lately but will be happy to identify via email/flickr if necessary).
May I have your permission to copy and adapt a version of this for my blog?
Thanks.

Jeremy,
Wow — you got the text already?! LOL I honestly wanted to be in Dr Cook’s section for NT I (I’ve heard much good remarks about him), but Elementary Greek conflicts with his section :S
Yes, you may, Scott. As I mentioned, I borrowed some points from Said At Southern
Hmm, I think for the purposes of my website here, first name would be ok. (For Said At Southern, I suppose how many on that blog are fellow students / alumni / faculty, then the full name helps in keeping each other accountable.)
Graciously,
Alex S. Leung
